Kyyhkylä Hotel and Manor offered a delightful retreat just a stone's throw from Mikkeli, nestled beautifully by Lake Saimaa. My recent stay in the cosy, renovated manor house was accompanied by my family, and we were thoroughly impressed by the stunning surroundings and vast open spaces perfect for outdoor activities. Our room was well-appointed, featuring a comfortable bed and a serene atmosphere that allowed us to unwind completely. The well-equipped spa and sauna area was a lovely touch, providing relaxation after a day spent exploring the jogging tracks and near the lakeside. Dining at the charming lakeside café, Rantakyyhky, was lovely; we enjoyed lighter dishes as we soaked in the tranquil views. Breakfast served on the terrace was a highlight, with a delightful selection of fresh options enjoyed as the sun streamed through the trees. It's a perfect spot for families or couples seeking romance amidst nature. I can hardly wait to return for a longer stay-there's simply too much to enjoy in just one night!
